TEACHING GIFTED CLIENTS HOW TO LIVE INdependent

The Inspiration to Begin

Does your child have special needs? Learning that your infant has a developmental delay can be a shock to families and leave them feeling confused and helpless. We at Angelica's Haven, understand the struggles experienced by families, friends, and loved ones, in a society that does not fully know what to do with those who are different!

Let's face it, living with a disability (or disabilities!) is not easy. This is especially true when that disability makes it difficult or almost impossible for a person to live a normal life. Our journey began as a result of working within our communities as a nonprofit provider serving the needy. We would often watch the pain generated from those who knew they were different, but had no say in how they were born.

Yes, we realized that many organizations exist that assist with this population, yet few catered to the aftercare of working with the special needs client after 3pm and on Saturdays. This need is critical to ensure lessons learned during normal care remain in tack until Monday when the particular facility reopened. The average private facility may charge up to $6,500 monthly for residential treatment for an individual who has special needs, with mild mental health or any physical disability.

Given this caveat, we believed that a market existed that needed to assist with the after hours, after weekdays, and home confinement for so many. Our goal is simply to provide in-home consultation services to families who need this service. We will help their loved ones thrive and bring back the unification of the family, so there will be a cohesiveness or functionality in working together towards a common goal.

We are proud to be trained and qualified in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) and TESOL/reading.
